You might’ve seen red light therapy especially paired up with the sauna! This is for good reason. Red light therapy has shown to be hugely beneficial to overall health in numerous ways.

It works by emitting low-power red light wavelengths directly through the skin without heat, pain, or any feeling. So, if you’re feeling any type of discomfort from pain, swelling, wounds or toxic load, red light therapy could be a great health hack for you.

A hyperbaric oxygen chamber can significantly increase brain function. During this therapy, pure oxygen is contained in a pressurized chamber, where the air pressure doubles that of normal air. This allows the oxygen to get into your blood and travel throughout your body and into your cells.
One study performed at the Sagol Center that included older adults showed that after 3 months of use, participants who used the hyperbaric oxygen therapy had improved cerebral blood flow in certain areas of their brain and increased cognitive function.
Many of us worry about aging and losing our spunk and quick thinking. Well, this could be a health hack to reduce the unwanted consequences of deterioration due to aging. Now, this is no superhuman cure, but it can help reduce the cognitive effects of aging and help you remember your 20 grandkids’ names!
But that’s not all. Hyperbaric oxygen chambers can also boost your body’s immune system and reduce the severity of toxins from certain bacteria.
Remember that your liver and bowel movements need to be functioning optimally to allow your body to excrete toxins and excess hormones like estrogens. If not, they can get backed up or, worse, cause intermediate byproducts that are even more harmful!
Here’s how to use a castor oil pack:
Place an organic cotton cloth that holds the oil on your stomach (right on your skin), underneath your rib cage, right where your liver sits. Leave this on for 45-60minutes. The sensory receptors on your skin send a message to your organs and stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system (aka your rest and digest state). This alone enhances your digestive and detox systems.
The oil then penetrates into your tissues, stimulating lymphatic flow and reduces inflammation via your Peyer’s patches. Castor oil packs have been shown to help with constipation, detoxification, reduces pain and inflammation, and even helps your immune system.
