A Letter From Taylor: Reflecting on the Journey to SAVA

This feels a little surreal to write. 

If you’ve been on this journey with me at Taylor Dukes Wellness for a while, you know that the TDW Shop has always been more than just products.

It started as a passion project. As a functional medicine nurse practitioner, I was excited to share healthier swaps, clean ingredient finds, and wellness wisdom with anyone who would listen. No gimmicks. No extreme overhauls. Just real, nourishing choices that fit into my real life and yours.

What happened next is something I’m still amazed by. All I can say is look at God. 

One of my favorite verses is Romans 8:28:

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

Because the truth is, the TDW Shop was never part of some perfectly mapped-out plan. It came from a pivot I never would have chosen for myself. 

Everything changed when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2022. In early 2023, after brain surgery, we learned it was actually brain cancer. But even in that, God was working. He has a way of redeeming what feels broken, using it for our good and ultimately, for His glory.

Over the years, my small TDW passion project grew into offering healthy nutritional pantry staples for thousands of families across the country. It grew through some of the hardest seasons of my life — a brain cancer diagnosis, battling Lyme disease, growing a family, and everything else that comes with being a human in this messy and beautiful world. 

Through all of it, what has never changed is my heart for helping families pursue wellness in a realistic, nourishing, and sustainable way..

That mission has not changed one bit. 

But something else has. Something big, and something really, really good.

A Name That Finally Fits

For a while now, I’ve felt the quiet tension of something outgrowing its container. The TDW Shop — named after me and built around my voice and my story — has always been rooted in something bigger than my name. It’s always been about the community we’ve created and the families within it. About the belief that what you put in your body matters, and that clean nutrition should be simple, satisfying, and less complicated than we make it.

So with a lot of prayer, intention, and more than a few conversations with trusted friends, family, and mentors, I made a decision: it was time for TDW to take on a new chapter, including a new name that could carry the mission forward. One that didn’t belong to just me, but to all of us.

And it’s not just a new name, but a new feel, new products where we saw a huge need in the market, and even more ways to serve others.

Today, I’m thrilled to introduce you to SAVA Nutrition.

 

So…what does SAVA mean?

The Hebrew word sava means to be filled, satisfied, nourished, and fulfilled. It carries the beautiful idea of having enough, lacking nothing, and living from a place of wholeness. While people sometimes describe it as being “made whole” or “fully alive,” those are really the result of what sava represents.

I’ve always loved John 10:10 and Jesus’ promise of an abundant life. That verse has been on my heart for years because it perfectly reflects what I’ve always believed true wellness should be—not just the absence of illness, but living fully as God intended.

As I began digging deeper into the meaning of abundance, I came across the word sava. The moment I understood its meaning, I knew it had to be our name.

“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” — John 10:10

There truly isn’t a better way to describe what we’ve always been trying to do.

Not a quick fix. Not a dramatic reset.

Just real, sustainable, everyday nourishment that helps you and your family become the fullest version of yourselves—filled, nourished, restored, and living in the abundance God intended.

Because that’s what SAVA has always been about.

What Is Changing — and What Absolutely Isn’t

I know you might have lots of questions, because I would, too! So let me be direct.

The Taylor Dukes Wellness Shop is changing. The name is new. The branding is new. And along with that, we have exciting new products and entire product lines that I cannot wait to tell you about. SAVA is founded on the idea of being even more intentional about our products serving the whole family with an expanded, more focused vision. 

But the ingredients? The standards? My involvement? The attention to sourcing clean, quality nutrition that actually works? That’s not moving an inch.

I am still here. I am still the founder. Still formulating. Still deeply, personally invested in every single product that goes out under this name — because these are the products I give to my own family. That was true when it said Taylor Dukes Wellness on the label. It is just as true now that it says SAVA.

If anything, this evolution has made my commitment stronger. Because now the brand can fully grow in ways that serve our families even better with more product offerings, a clearer identity, and a long-term vision rooted in the values we’ve always held.

You’ll still find me providing lots of free education on my personal social media account at @taylordukeswellness and on my own website. And the TDW Community will continue to exist. It is the product side of things that will be changing. 

All SAVA content including recipe ideas, product education, giveaways, sales, simple health hacks, and so much more will now live on the SAVA website and our social media. You’ll also want to sign up for our insider list to be first to know when big news drops!

What’s Next

The SAVA shop opens August 5, and there is so much to look forward to. We’ll still be offering many of the TDW Shop’s tried-and-true favorite products. But I’m beyond excited to share SAVA’s new products — new flavors and categories I have been working on for a long time that you’ve been asking for and I think you are genuinely going to love.

In addition to our core SAVA line with the proteins, electrolytes, and other favorites, we’ll be launching two new lines: SAVA Sport and SAVA Kids. We have found a true lack in these spaces for clean, simple, quality, and actually delicious alternatives to what conventional grocery stores offer. And we’re determined to support these important stages and lifestyles. 

SAVA Kids products were made to support little bodies and growing brains. It includes genuinely kid-friendly and kid-approved, food-based options with all of the nutrients they need and none of the ingredients they don’t. As a mom to two young boys, this is the line I’m selfishly most proud of and excited about!

SAVA Sport is nutrition that performs. Clean fuel that enhances strength, boosts endurance, and supports faster recovery. With NSF Certified for Sport^® options, it was made to support everyone from elite, professional athletes to those who want better results and recovery from everyday exercise. 

Between now and August 5, we will be bringing you behind the scenes as the new brand comes to life.

None of this would exist without you. SAVA is for you. For your family. For mine. For the long haul. And this is just the beginning.
